Starting Your Allstate Claim

Allstate claims can be reported through your Allstate agent, the Allstate mobile app or by phone. Allstate may offer photo-based claim tools for faster initial estimates, and an adjuster will be assigned to your claim.

When you come in, it helps to bring your claim number, your adjuster's name and phone number, your policy card and any photos you took at the scene. If you do not have all of that yet, bring the vehicle anyway and we will help you work out the rest.

Do I Have to Use a Allstate-Recommended Shop?

No. Allstate may suggest shops, but Kentucky law gives you the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. If you choose AutoMax, we work with Allstate on your behalf. We submit our estimate and photos to your adjuster and answer their questions so you are not stuck relaying messages.

Hidden Damage and Supplements

An initial estimate often misses damage that is only visible once panels and bumpers come off. When we find something extra, we stop, photograph it, write a supplement and send it to your Allstate adjuster for approval before continuing, so your claim and your repair both stay accurate.

If Your Car Is Not Drivable

Tell your Allstate claim representative where the car is, and ask whether your policy includes towing and rental reimbursement. We can start the estimate as soon as the vehicle arrives, and structural damage is checked with a full structural damage assessment.

Allstate Collision Claim FAQs

Allstate recommended a shop. Am I required to use it?

No. A recommendation is a suggestion, not a requirement. Kentucky law lets you choose the shop that repairs your vehicle, and we will work with your Allstate adjuster throughout.

Allstate's estimate is lower than yours. What happens?

Differences usually come from hidden damage, parts pricing or labor operations the first estimate did not include. We document the difference with photos and submit it to your Allstate adjuster for review.

Will my Allstate repair include ADAS calibration if it is needed?

If the repair touches bumpers, windshields, mirrors or sensors, cameras and radar may need recalibration. We will tell you when that applies and include it in the repair plan. See our ADAS calibration service.
