Starting Your Progressive Claim

Progressive is a direct insurer, and claims are commonly started through the Progressive app, online or by phone. A claim representative will review the loss and may use photos for an initial estimate before the vehicle is inspected.

When you come in, it helps to bring your claim number, your adjuster's name and phone number, your policy card and any photos you took at the scene. If you do not have all of that yet, bring the vehicle anyway and we will help you work out the rest.

Do I Have to Use a Progressive-Recommended Shop?

No. Progressive may suggest shops, but Kentucky law gives you the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. If you choose AutoMax, we work with Progressive on your behalf. We submit our estimate and photos to your adjuster and answer their questions so you are not stuck relaying messages.

Hidden Damage and Supplements

An initial estimate often misses damage that is only visible once panels and bumpers come off. When we find something extra, we stop, photograph it, write a supplement and send it to your Progressive adjuster for approval before continuing, so your claim and your repair both stay accurate.

If Your Car Is Not Drivable

Tell your Progressive claim representative where the car is, and ask whether your policy includes towing and rental reimbursement. We can start the estimate as soon as the vehicle arrives, and structural damage is checked with a full structural damage assessment.

What if Progressive finds more damage after repairs begin?

That is called a supplement. We stop, document the additional damage with photos and send it to your Progressive adjuster for approval so the claim stays accurate.

Will my Progressive repair include ADAS calibration if it is needed?
