Starting Your Farmers Claim

Farmers claims are typically started through your Farmers agent, the Farmers app or the claims phone line. After the claim is opened, a Farmers claims representative will be assigned to review the damage.

When you come in, it helps to bring your claim number, your adjuster's name and phone number, your policy card and any photos you took at the scene. If you do not have all of that yet, bring the vehicle anyway and we will help you work out the rest.

Do I Have to Use a Farmers-Recommended Shop?

No. Farmers may suggest shops, but Kentucky law gives you the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. If you choose AutoMax, we work with Farmers on your behalf. We submit our estimate and photos to your adjuster and answer their questions so you are not stuck relaying messages.

Hidden Damage and Supplements

An initial estimate often misses damage that is only visible once panels and bumpers come off. When we find something extra, we stop, photograph it, write a supplement and send it to your Farmers adjuster for approval before continuing, so your claim and your repair both stay accurate.

If Your Car Is Not Drivable

Tell your Farmers claim representative where the car is, and ask whether your policy includes towing and rental reimbursement. We can start the estimate as soon as the vehicle arrives, and structural damage is checked with a full structural damage assessment.

My Farmers agent suggested a shop. Can I still choose AutoMax?

Yes. Your agent can suggest a shop, but the decision belongs to you. We will coordinate with your Farmers claims representative from estimate through final repair.

Will my Farmers deductible change if I use AutoMax?

Your deductible comes from your policy, not from the shop. We can show you the repair estimate so you know what the insurer covers and what the deductible applies to.

Will my Farmers repair include ADAS calibration if it is needed?
